Thoughts on the Deck Reader Survey

The Deck Readers Survey was the most fun I’ve had with an html form, even better than that one time in Firefox 3’s incognito mode… but that’s all in the bug report so I’ll stop digressing.

But really this survey rocked. A few example questions:

5. Are you one of those people who thinks you’re
right all the time, and that if everybody would just
listen to you things would be a whole lot better?

Yes and yes.

7. If you were to become romantically involved with a
typeface, which one would it be?

Oh Archer your serifs and ligatures are so enticing and you always look so sharp. Keep your glasses on girl, I’ll wait right here while you slip into italics.

10. Would it be OK with you if The Deck started accepting
ads from any advertiser, including those for “male
enhancement” and “miraculous weight loss programs”
and then displayed them as huge animated boxes that
would occasionally block the content of the site and
require you to hit a tiny “close” box to get rid of them?

The only answer available is “no”. perfect.

21. A telephone pole stands along an inclined
highway and casts a 52 foot shadow down
the incline directly along the highway when
the angle of elevation of the sun is 55 degrees.
If the height of the pole is 65 feet, what is the
angle of inclination of the highway?

Dammit Jim I’m a web designer not a math major! (not getting it?) and yes I came from Daring Fireball. Sorry John I tried really hard but I suck at trig.
