Head in the Clouds

I never knew much about Walter Cronkite. He was “before my time” and I’ve never been that interested in the past (it seems to be a requirement of IT to always be looking forward). However seeing journalist’s take history and line it up with current events and current thoughts is impressive. Even better is seeing how it works on the web, as many people collect their stories and link them together. It’s exciting stuff. The future is linked narratives spoken with trust and personal investment not pay-walls and disconnected anchors. People are doing it now, telling their stories, and while many are incoherent others shine through. We are the news… and that’s the way it is.
