A Wrongheaded Approach to Gender Identity
I’m a staunch practitioner of general apathy towards both sides of this debate. I tend to take the middle ground of “just do what you want and don’t bug me with it” but this gross intolerance and simple wrong headedness makes me want to join the side of the debate that push for a culture of androgyny*. I am male and yet I am quite interested in raising a family, to suggest that my masculinity is or should be defined by something like that is misguided.
*I won’t though because I like my classic gender females with smooth legs and long flowing hair. Still, that shouldn’t have to conflict with any other gender styles.
