The Internet Puts You Seconds From Your Idols
I noticed an new post on Daring Fireball and popped over to check it out. Google was using HTML 5 features to do offline work on the iPhone, cool, but I’ve been doing that on the desktop for months now (and finally got it working in Safari 4). So I pop an email over to John Gruber with the assumption that he’ll change it tomorrow under a few hundred responses about Gears. Well a few minutes later a reply showed up in my inbox:
John Gruber to Regis
Just updated to mention that, thanks.

Yeah it’s one sentence but It made me feel super. In the future I want to be able to inspire the same giddy delight in some young student. Thank you internet, and thank you John.
